From small cosy boutiques and souvenir shops to bigger fashion shops: You will find it on Texel! And there are several supermarkets on the island for your daily shopping. Also in De Cocksdorp you will find a lot of shops including a Plus supermarket with a large selection.
Den Burg is the ‘capital’ of the island. Here you will find the largest number of shops. Every Monday morning there is a cosy market.
Also in De Koog it’s a pleasure to shop. There is a wide selection of shops and after shopping you can enjoy a refreshment on one of the many terraces.

Within walking distance of your holiday home you will find the Plus supermarket. After a recent renovation this shop has a floor surface of 1000 square metres and offers a wide selection of products. You can also have your groceries delivered. In the supermarket many local products are available.

De Verrekieker
Part of the Bird Information Centre is the shop ‘De Verrekieker’ with binoculars and telescopes, tripods, books, dvd’s, outdoor coats for birders, camouflage, gloves and nature protection articles. The shop is open all year round from Monday till Saturday from 10:00 till 18:00.
In the shop you will also find many (self-produced) bird movies on dvd and a wide range of bird books including always the most recent and best bird guides.

A nice shop in De Cocksdorp where mainly handmade souvenirs are sold. And of course butterflies (vlinders) in all shapes and sizes. A nice place to look around.extensively.

Weekly marktet
There is a market every Monday morning on the Groeneplaats. You can come here for vegetables, fish and meat. And there is a wide range of regional products available.
The other villages
Also in seaside resort De Koog shopping is one of the most populais activities. The lively shopping street De Dorpsstraat offers everything a visitor could wish for. And after shopping one of the many terraces of De Koog are a good place to be.
And also on and around the harbour of Oudeschild there more and more shops that are worth visiting.
